About Dr. Bernard Wolff
Dr Bernard Wolff completed his medical degree at the University of Pretoria. He specialised in ophthalmology at the Medical University of South Africa under the famous Professor Robert Stegmann. He completed his Fellowship in Vitreoretinal surgery at the world-renowned Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
After more than a decade in private practice in Johannesburg, he founded the Retina Surgery Centre - a practice dedicated to vitreoretinal diseases.
Dr Wolff is actively involved in research related to retinal diseases and presents his research at local and international conferences. Since 2012, he was also a faculty member of the European VitreoRetinal Training School in Bremen, Germany, where he contributed to the training of aspiring retinal surgeons from all over the world. (Discontinued in 2020 due to Covid-19).
